Police raid yields more motorcycle parts on Azuran’s residence

Legazpi City, [04.17.14] – The Philippine National Police has served the search warrant finally and conducted legal search on the premise of Janlen Azuran yesterday afternoon and yielded more assorted motorcycle spare parts believed to be part his nefarious activities.
The raiding team from the Legazpi City Police, Regional Security Operation Group [RSOG], PNP-Traffic Management Group- Bicol and Provincial Intelligence Service-Albay [PIS-Albay] searched the residence of Janlen Azuran in Phase 2, Imperial Court Subdivision, Barangay 23, Legazp City yesterday afternoon.
The lawful search was conducted by virtue of the search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court of Tabaco City Executive Judge Honorable Alben C. Rabe. The court has directed the law enforcers to conduct a search inside the premise of Azuran.
However, the house owner was not around when the police arrived and no one to receive the court order, instead the barangay officials of Barangay 23 were the one who received the court order and witnessed the search inside the residence.
The search yielded assorted motorcycle spare parts with still undetermined amounts. The searched items are now in police custody for documentations and inventory
Janlen Azuran y Llagas, 42 and his companion, Dindo Fuentes y Altarejos, 19 years old are facing criminal charges for violation of Republic Act No 6539 or Anti-Carnapping Act. The suspects were arrested in T. Perez Street, Daraga town in a drag net operation last April 13, 2014.
According to Republic Act No 6539 or Anti-Carnapping Act particularly Section 13 Penal Provisions says; Any person who violates any provisions of this Act shall be punished with imprisonment for not less than two years nor more than six years and a fine equal in amount to the acquisition cost of the motor vehicle, motor vehicle engine or any other part involved in the violation: Provided, That if the person violating any provision of this Act is a juridical person, the penalty herein provided shall be imposed on its president or secretary and/or members of the board of directors or any of its officers and employees who may have directly participated in the violation.
Police are now preparing all necessary documents in filing appropriate criminal charges against Azuran and Fuentes.
